Private Lessons
This season Stop It Goaltending is offering Private Lessons in FIVE locations:
The Stop It Goaltending Development Center at Athletic Evolution in Woburn, MA; The Stop It Goaltending Development Center at The Foxboro Sports Center in Foxboro, MA; The PHD Center at The Skate 3 Rink in Tyngsboro, MA; The Fairfield Ice Academy in Fairfield, CT and at the Hamden Ice Academy in Hamden, CT. Stop It Goaltending has been offering private lessons since 1999, providing an excellent way to maximize your potential. We welcome new and returning participants and are excited to work with motivated goalies of all levels.
Goaltender Development: In private goalie lessons, goalies will receive instruction on the most progressive save techniques with a focus on building solid fundamentals through muscle memory and positive reinforcement. Each week’s lesson has a distinct plan which progresses from week to week. Through the eight weeks of lessons, goalies will work on all aspects of the position and have a thorough understanding of their system of play.
List of Lessons: Private lessons consist of one instructor and two shooters for four goalies. Goalies sign up as individuals. The cost is $480 per eight-week session ($60 per lesson) and $75 for a single lesson. Single-Goalie Private Lessons are available at our Woburn and Foxboro locations for $125 per hour. If you are unable to find a time that works for your personal schedule please feel free to call the Stop It Goaltending office at 781-376-9000. We will be happy to work with you to find an appropriate time. There may be a possibility of creating a new lesson time and date just for you. Time and Groups: Lessons are conducted once per week for eight weeks. The day and time of the lessons remain constant throughout the eight-week session. There are no more than four goalies per lesson. Goalie lessons include one instructor and two shooters for four goalies. There are specialty lessons that may consist of 1 on 1 or 1 on 2 director-to-goalie ratios. Once the eight-week program has begun there will be the opportunity to register on a week by week basis depending on availability. Week by week slots will not be listed until the eight week program has begun.
Registration and Cost: Please use our online application to register. By reviewing our Private Lessons Schedule you will be able to schedule your own dates, times and location. The cost of the eight-week session for goalies is $480 ($60 per lesson). A $100 deposit is required with the application, and the balance due on the first day of the program. Single sessions are available at $75 per lesson and will be posted the week that the lesson will be conducted. There are some specialty lessons that have different pricings and these are listed below.
How to Schedule: In order to schedule private lessons please go to the Private Schedule page and select a date and time based on availability and level. The eight-week sessions will be listed in advance of the start date. Week-by-week slots will not be listed until after the eight week program has begun.

Refunds will not be issued except in the case of a player's injury or illness in which a doctor's note will be required. If you are unable to attend your previously scheduled lesson please call in advance. Although we cannot promise an available make up time we will do everything we can to find an appropriate time for the missed lesson to be made up.
Winter Snow Policy
Please note that the Stop It Goaltending Private lessons will be conducted unless a State of Emergency is declared. If lessons are cancelled, a notice will be posted on the Stop It Goaltending homepage.
Stop It Goaltending Development Center at Athletic Evolution in Woburn, MA: From South: Take Exit 36 toward Washington Street/Woburn/Winchester. Turn Right onto Washington Street. Turn Right on to Olympia Avenue. Athletic Evolution is located at the corner of Olympia Avenue and Wildwood Avenue.

Take right onto Central St Take first left onto Elm St Follow to stop sign and turn right onto Winter St Follow to end and turn right onto Cocasset St Take first right onto East Belcher Rd. Rink is .2 miles ahead on left.
Take Rt. 95 South towards Providence Exit 8- Mechanic Street, Foxboro Turn right at end of ramp Take 2nd left onto Oak Street (follow to end 1.8 miles) Turn right onto Cocasset Street After 1/2 mile take 2nd left onto East Belcher Road. Rink is .2 miles ahead on the left. Take Exit 7B (Route 140) towards Foxboro Turn right on to Central St First left onto Elm St Follow to stop sign and turn right onto Winter St Follow to end and turn right onto Cocasset St Take first right onto East Belcher Rd. Rink is ahead .2 miles on left.
Stop It Goaltending Development Center at Hamden Ice Academy: Rt. 15 (Merritt Parkway) to Exit 60 Turn Left onto Dixwell Avenue (heading North). Follow Dixwell Avenue approximately 1.5 miles to Sanford Street. Turn left onto Sanford Street. Turn right into first driveway after railroad overpass. The Hamden Ice Academy is located in the end unit (closest to Sanford St.) of the large warehouse-style building.

From the South: Take Rte. 3 North to Exit 34. At the end of the ramp go right.
Go approximately 1 mile and the facility is located on your right in the Skate 3 Building, next to the Post Office. At the end of the ramp, take a left and follow that to the end and take a right. You are now on Middlesex Road (Rte.3A). Go approx. 1 mile and the Skate 3 Building is on your left.
